To coincide with the introduction of Beast-type units to the game, Fire Emblem Heroes has been updated to version 3.1.0.

Below are the official patch notes for the latest update.

■ Added Beasts
The game now supports Beast-type Heroes!

At the start of a Beast-type Hero’s turn, if they are not adjacent to any human Heroes, they transform into their beast form (if they are adjacent to any human Heroes, however, they will revert to their humanoid form). When transformed, their stats are boosted!
Note: Manaketes without Dragonstones, like Nowi: Eternal Witch and Tiki: Summering Scion, are treated as human Heroes.

You will be able to gain Beast-type Heroes as allies from the Rulers of the Laguz summoning event, which starts 1/10/2019 11:00 p.m.(PT), and the Grand Hero Battle with Naesala: Sky’s Shadow, which starts 1/11/2019 11:00 p.m.(PT)

■ Legendary Effects and Mythic Effects
To allow for Legendary Heroes and Mythic Heroes to play a more active role, Legendary Effects and Mythic Effects have been expanded.

Legendary Heroes will receive a Mythic Effect when deployed with a Mythic Hero in Aether Raids during a season that matches both of their blessing types.
Mythic Heroes will receive a Legendary Effect when deployed with a Legendary Hero in battles outside of Aether Raids during a season that matches both of their blessing types.
(Since Mythic Heroes cannot be deployed in Blessed Gardens, however, they are unable to receive a Legendary Effect there.)

In addition to this change, starting 1/14/2019 11:00 p.m.(PT), new Arena and Aether Raids seasons will both start on Monday at 11:00 p.m., so swapping between Legendary Effect and Mythic Effect will not occur in the middle of a season.
The Aether Raids season that starts 1/6/2019 11:00 p.m.(PT) will be one day longer than usual, but future seasons will return to their typical length afterward.

■ Aether Raids Update
○ Some structures have had their level cap increased:
・ Aether Fountain: up to level 3 (max of 70 Aether replenished each day)
・ Catapult (O): up to level 4
・ Catapult (D): up to level 4

○ During placement, the Auto Setup feature now prioritizes Mythic Heroes and Heroes with blessings that match the current season.

○ The ! icon displayed on the Aether Raids option in the Battle menu has been hidden.

Note: Due to changes to Aether Raids, when you update to Ver. 3.1.0, you will no longer be able to view defensive-battle replays involving players using Ver. 3.0.1.

■ New Weapon Skills and Weapons to Refine

The following Heroes can learn these new character-specific weapon skills at 5★:

Tome of Thoron
Hero who can learn this skill: Tailtiu: Thunder Noble

■ Additional Heroes via Heroic Grails
The following Heroes will be available to summon using Heroic Grails:

・Azura: Young Songstress
・Gharnef: Dark Pontifex

■ Other Changes
・ In the Catalog of Heroes, the mini units of Veronica: Brave Princess and Loki: The Trickster now appear with their exclusive weapon skills.
・ A display issue in full-screen mode on the latest iPad Pro has been addressed. The display now takes up the entire screen with the exception of the Home bar.

That’s it for the version 3.1.0 update! We hope you continue to enjoy playing Fire Emblem Heroes.
