Sociable Soccer ’22 appearing on Switch in April 2022
Switch is expanding the lineup of soccer games on Switch with Sociable Soccer ’22. Kiss Publishing and developer Tower Studios will be bringing the game to Nintendo’s console on April 17, 2022, the two sides have confirmed to VGC.
Sociable Soccer originally made a name for itself through Apple Arcade. The game lets you play online or offline against friends, foes, and AI. It also has league and clan features, more than 25,000 upgradable player cards, over 100 trophies to collect.
Here’s a trailer showing the game on mobile:
Sociable Soccer ’22 on Switch will look better than it did on Apple Arcade while also implementing an upgraded animation engine as well as improvements to game mechanics, ball mechanics, and the camera. Creator Jon Hare hopes that it will be “the full vision of everything we want to do.”
Hare also said:
“At the end of May, after patiently looking for the right partner, we managed to strike a deal with Kiss Publishing. Now we’re able to activate all that PC/console stuff that we couldn’t do on mobile. Obviously graphically, we can push things further, and also there is a whole bunch of features we want to put into the game, which we can now launch with on the PC/console side. So, it’s an exciting time.”
Sociable Soccer ’22 will be offered as a digital download through the eShop.
