Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Applin location guide
Applin makes a return in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, and we now have information about the location of this Pokemon.
What is Applin?
Applin is a Grass/Dragon Apple Core type Pokemon. It was first introduced in Generation VIII, and is notable for having two evolutions, Flapple and Appletun, which it will evolve into depending on whether a Tart Apple or Sweet Apple respectively is used on it.
The Pokedex entry also gives us the following lore: “It grows by eating the flesh of an apple. Applin uses its own body fluid to strengthen the apple’s skin and prevent it from rotting.”
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Applin location
You can find Applin in East Province Area One, East Province Area Two, West Province Area Three, South Province Area One, South Province Area Two, and Tagtree Thicket. Specifically, they can be found in the trees of these locations. It is recommended that you search Tagtree Thicket for Applin, due to the larger number of trees in the area that are also closer together, which will make the process of searching for one much faster.
To increase your chances of finding an Applin, you will want to prepare a sandwich that gives you Encounter Power: Dragon. Prepare either a Hamburger Patty Sandwich (which requires Hamburger and Onion as ingredients, with Vinegar and Pepper as seasoning) for Encounter Power: Dragon Lv.1, or a Great Avocado Sandwich (which requires Avocado, Smoked Fillet, and Tomato as ingredients, with Salt as seasoning) for Encounter Power: Dragon Lv.2, and then search the branches of the trees in the area.
The wild isn’t the only location for Applin in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Another possibility is finding it in a Tera Raid Battle, which will be marked on your map. New ones will appear as you clear them, and they will also change daily, so it is worth checking each one on your map to see if any of them contain Applin. Applin can be encountered in 1 star Tera Raid Battles, whilst its evolutions, Flapple and Appletun, can be encountered in 5 star Tera Raid Battles.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet can be experienced on Switch. The official site is up here.
