Team Cherry says Hollow Knight: Silksong was planned for the first half of 2023, “but development is still continuing”
Hollow Knight: Silksong fans will need to wait a bit longer for the game’s release.
On Twitter, Matthew Griffin – who’s handling marketing and publishing for the project – provided a brief update. He confirmed that the team was targeting the first half of 2023 for launch, “but development is still continuing.” He added: “We’re excited by how the game is shaping up, and it’s gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.”
More information about Hollow Knight: Silksong will be shared “once we get closer to release.” The title received a new trailer last summer, and it was thought that it could be ready to go by June 2023. However, as we now know, Team Cherry has decided to take some extra time for development.
Hollow Knight: Silksong was announced a little over four years ago. It was even featured at E3 2019 during Nintendo Treehouse: Live. Since then, we’ve only gotten small glimpses at the project.
