Shadow Gangs Zero coming to Switch

Shadow Gangs landed on Switch a few years ago, and the IP is expanding with the upcoming project Shadow Gangs Zero.

The team took to Kickstarter where it achieved immediate success. It’ll be a month before the campaign ends, and yet the total is rising with well over $60,000 raised thus far.

Shadow Gangs Zero is a new 16-bit prequel to the original game. Aside from Switch, it’ll be appearing on a variety of platforms including classic ones like the Neo Geo, SEGA Dreamcast, and Genesis.

The title will offer more side-scrolling ninja action gameplay. There’ll be various improvements though, including longer and more varied levels, the ability to explore without a time limit, and no instant death from falling. Improving the graphics is also a focus – the team says there’ll be “significantly increased number of animation frames for smoother, more dynamic character movements.”
