Roguelike deckbuilder Nif Nif heading to Nintendo Switch
Hong Kong developer Springfox Games confirmed today that it’s putting Nif Nif on Nintendo Switch. The game is due out on April 1, 2025.
Nif Nif is a family-friendly roguelike deck builder that was previously funded on Kickstarter. In the game, you’ll save your friends from the evil Goo that is contaminating the forest by cleaning up the mess through card battles.

Inspired by the game director’s autistic son. Nif Nif aims to provide a welcoming and supportive gaming experience where kids can explore, learn, and grow in anon-violent environment that encourages positive values like friendship and caring for nature.
Approachable and designed for a general audience: from fans of deck-builders or cozy games, to kids (it helps them practice mental math!) or even people with no experience in video games. Accessible and totally non-violent. Easy to pick up for beginners, but strategic for those who want a challenge!
Choose your cards with special abilities as you progress through the encounters to be best prepared to face the final bosses that await you at the end of the forest. Decide what to bring on each adventure to keep things fresh, and choose to play between two different characters—each with a unique card set.
You can collect seeds, plant them and cook your own power-up potions in the form of delicious hot soups that will help you on your journey. Deciding which ones to take each time can be the difference between a win or a loss!
Nif Nif is a comfortable and cozy experience set in a whimsical and colorful world full of friendly and quirky characters that our little piglet and his grumpy cat companion will meet along the way on lovely encounters full of easter-eggs for us to enjoy.

Game director Masha Mallet shared today: “The idea of cleaning as a core mechanic came from a desire to create a non-violent, family-friendly game. My son’s hypersensitivity to violence influenced this decision. I chose a piglet for Nif Nif because of the positive symbolism associated with pigs in Chinese culture. The character ‘family’ features a pig under a roof, representing harmony and togetherness.”
