Nintendo announces Switch “Play On” campaign for Europe

Nintendo is starting up a new “Play On” campaign for Switch today in Europe featuring multiple activities, sales, and rewards about continuing to play on the system. The entire event will conclude by March 23.

The first thing to note is the Play On Sale. Until February 23, Nintendo Switch owners scan save on various titles, including Just Dance 2025 Edition, Balatro, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Okami HD, and Sonic x Shadow Generations. Additionally, up to £12 in Gold Points can be earned until March 23 by purchasing or renewing a Nintendo Switch Online 12-month membership and turning on auto-renewal.

Nintendo is also planning to celebrate Play On with Game Trials starting on February 24. As usual, Nintendo Switch Online members can play the full version of a title for free, with a discount available for everyone until March 8. Nintendo will provide details regarding the Game Trial title on February 20.

Lastly, My Nintendo Platinum Point rewards will be available over the next six weeks by playing specific Nintendo Switch games. Players can earn 30 Platinum Points per game and spend them on rewards. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the current game, but a different title will take the spotlight each week. Nintendo Switch Sports will be up for the week of February 17.

Other in-game activities are also taking place, which are listed below.

• Play On with Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Until February 14, players can order Valentine’s themed items from Nook Shopping and receive a gift from Isabelle.
• Play On with Pokemon: Players can receive certain shiny Pokemon like Meloetta, Manaphy and more as Mystery Gifts in the smart device version of Pokemon Home by completing each of the Pokedexes in various Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch.
• Play On with Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet: From February 14 until February 16, players can join a Valentine’s-themed Milcery 5-star Tera Raid Battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
