Pokemon Champions will only let you use select Pokemon at launch, Pokemon Home support clarified

Following today’s reveal of Pokemon Champions, a couple of bits of information have been shared about plans for the roster.

According to a note provided by The Pokemon Company, at launch, only select creatures can be used. It was further clarified that not all Pokemon available in Pokemon Home will appear in the upcoming title. The creatures that can be sent to Pokemon Champions through Home are limited to the ones that appear in Pokemon Champions.

Pokemon Champions is the new game being made by The Pokemon Works in partnership with Game Freak. The title hopes to offer game-style battles that will be “enjoyed by more players than ever before.” Only limited information was provided as part of the announcement, so we’re waiting for more of the finer details.
