Marisa of Liartop Mountain confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Today, publisher Alliance Arts and developer Unknown X revealed that they’re putting Marisa of Liartop Mountain on Nintendo Switch. The game is slated for September 19, 2025.

Marisa of Liartop Mountain is a Touhou Project tabletop-style RPG. The Nintendo Switch version was just confirmed during Indie Live Expo today.

Marisa of Liartop Mountain is an adventure role-playing game, where you, the player, will play as Reimu and explore a mountain of books filled with mysteries and lies in search of the whereabouts of the missing Marisa.

Advance or retreat, there lies a mountain of falsehood. In the depths of Marisa’s lies, the conclusion to the story will be decided by you.

Welcome to a mystic world of adventure, sewn together by a singular magical book. Marisa of Liartop Mountain is an adventure role-playing game that progresses according to the player’s decision-making, in addition to the guidance of dice. You, the player, will play as Reimu and explore a mountain of books filled with mysteries and lies in search of the whereabouts of the missing Marisa.

Deep in the stacks, a book is discovered. Marisa, with the dusty book in her hands, has disappeared. And the next morning, a new mountain suddenly appeared in Gensokyo. Deep within the fire-breathing mountain, what is the fateful choice that looms over you?

Marisa of Liartop Mountain will be sold both physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch in Japan. This includes a “Grimoire Magus Box” limited edition, which features a copy of the game, a special box, Gensokyo Grimoire illustration boards, a Scarlet Devil Mansion illustration acrylic stand, Scarlet Devil Mansion stickers, original soundtrack CD, “RD-Sounds Another Background Music Pack” DLC, and “Digital Artworks & Sound Player” DLC.
