Posted on May 1, 2025 by in News, Switch 2, Switch eShop

Original” Nintendo continues updating elements of its brand seemingly in preparation for the Nintendo Switch 2, one of which being the designs of their eShop cards. You can get a look at them in the graphic above.

Posted by Brazilian user @PortalSMario on X, the new cards show off updated renders of classic Mario characters whom also appeared in the previous set. These include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad, and Donkey Kong sporting his new Donkey Kong Bananza design. It should be also noted that the new cards seem to be square, in contrast to the previous designs being rectangular.

We have only seen these updated cards make their debut in Brazil, and there is no information to whether more characters from the previous card designs will get this revamp. If we hear about any further developments, we’ll keep you updated.
