Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dev: Nintendo Switch 2 version “could be interesting”
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer Sandfall isn’t ruling out a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. On the contrary, CEO Guillaume Broche seems intrigued by the possibility.
Broche was speaking about the studio’s hit RPG during a recent interview on mistermv. Although he darted around a bit without making a commitment, he did say that “it’s definitely something that could be interesting.” It seems that the game’s success is opening up new possibilities.
Broche’s full words regarding a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33:
“Well, at this point, considering the success of the game, it kind of changes everything. So clearly, it’s too early to say, but we’re kind of in a situation where… let’s say there are a lot of opportunities showing up – way too many at once – and we’re figuring out what we’ll go for and what we won’t. But yeah, it’s definitely something that could be interesting.”
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is Sandfall’s first game, but the company hit it out of the park as both a critical and sales success. We’re already starting to see third-parties itching to put their titles on Nintendo Switch 2, so a port would certainly make sense.
