Xelan Force Enhanced Edition announced for Nintendo Switch

Xelan Force is returning with a new Enhanced Edition on Nintendo Switch, it’s been announced. The game launches in 2026.

We actually saw Xelan Force on Nintendo Switch back in 2024. This time around though, the title will feature a new look meant to replicate the style from the 90s.

“An 8-bit consumer game released in the 80s is being reborn in arcades in the 90s with a new look!”

This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Xelan Force, which brings this IF to life.

The resolution is approximately 320×224, all pixel art has been redrawn, the number of animation patterns has been greatly increased, and the atmosphere of the time has been recreated using raster-like expressions rather than smooth scaling and rotation using vectors. Many new characters will also appear. The sound, which is packed with the charm of FM sound sources, is handled by Yasuhiro Inazawa, who also handled Xelan Force.

The packaged version also includes an 8-bit version of “Xelan Force”!
