Primal Fray, a turn-based strategy roguelite, heading to Nintendo Switch
Solo developer Tymoteusz Pietruszka today announced the upcoming game Primal Fray for Nintendo Switch. The wait won’t be long as it’s locked in for November 24, 2025.
Primal Fray is a turn-based strategy roguelite, meaning there’s combat with procedurally generated, hex based flying islands. Players will build a team of primals and collect buffs to find their way through the Rift while defeating smart enemies and deadly bosses along the way.

Primal Fray offers players a different take on a genre that blends old school strategic mechanics, with modern day roguelike elements.
Key Features
- New Recruits: You can choose between a variety of heroes that each come with their own talents and backstory

 - Abilities to Last a Life Time: Each primal comes with four different abilities that vary in their strength and use. This means over 200 abilities to use in total!
 - Manage Your Resources: Your abilities may cost mana, or, produce mana which means you have to be strategic about how you use it. Spend, or gain it wisely.
