Storm Lancers getting a Nintendo Switch 2 version

Previously released on Nintendo Switch, Storm Lancers is now coming to Switch 2. This new version arrives on December 9, 2025.

Storm Lancers previously came to Nintendo Switch in September. For the Nintendo Switch 2 version, players can look forward to GameShare support. It’ll also include HDR and runs at 60 frames per second.

ProbablyMonsters head of studios Mark Subotnick said today: “We’ve seen a lot of enthusiasm for Storm Lancers, and so we’re happy to be able to bring the game to more players in higher fidelity and offer them an even better experience. Now more players than ever can battle their way through Cryptica with smoother action and online functions via Nintendo GameShare.”

You and your friend just crash-landed on an alien planet harboring a secret source of powerful magic. All of reality is on the verge of collapse, and two magical creatures have chosen you as their heroes. To save the planet, you’ll fight, die, and bond with the Stormhearts to rise again — stronger, fiercer, and unstoppable.

Designed for couch co-op, Storm Lancers is a fast-paced rogue-like, where every run means dodging death, overcoming enemies, and mastering powerful skills. The battle is on, so team up for survival.

Storm Lancers will cost $9.99 for Nintendo Switch 2, but if you own it on Switch, the upgrade will be free and progress transfers over.
