Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged gets surprise Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Today, Revolution Software revealed and released a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged.

Essentially a year after the game launched, there are new upgrades on the console. It features 4K resolution when docked and 1080p resolution in portable mode, along with support for mouse controls.

The Reforged edition of this award-winning 1996 adventure has been hailed as a masterful restoration of a timeless classic, revitalizing play with hand-redrawn backgrounds based on the original line art, over 30,000 reanimated character sprites, and fully remastered audio, including the legendary score by the late great Barrington Pheloung.

Redefining adventure gameplay for a modern audience, Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged also introduces a dynamic ‘story mode’ that balances puzzles and narrative progression, making this the most accessible version to date; whether played docked in glorious 4K, or handheld in crisp, high-definition detail.
