About Bases Loaded and Super Bases Loaded
Bases Loaded was created by noted Japanese game developer, Tose, and published by Jaleco in 1987 in Japan and in 1988 in North America. Featuring a tv-style perspective of the pitcher-batter matchup, realistic player design (for that era) and 12 teams each featuring 30 uniquely skilled players, Bases Loaded was considered one of the most realistic sports simulations of its time and quickly became a bestseller on the Nintendo Entertainment System, with over a million copies sold in North America. Bases Loaded spawned two sequels on the NES, and then later three more titles in the series on the Super Nintendo.
Super Bases Loaded released for the SNES in May 1991 in Japan and September 1991 in North America. The game was one of the very first sports titles to appear for the Super Nintendo in the US.
