Subnautica, Subnautica: Below Zero reveal new Nintendo Switch 2 Editions
Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero are both getting Nintendo Switch 2 Editions, it’s been revealed. Both are planned for February 17, 2026.
Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero will both run at 1440p at 60 frames per second when docked. Handheld resolution is 1080p – still at 60 FPS. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch 2 versions provide optimized controls for the Joy-Con 2.

Combining the award-winning game Subnautica with its sequel Subnautica Below Zero, this allows players to fully immerse themselves in the full mystery surrounding the water world of planet 4546B.
Craft equipment, pilot submarines and out-smart wildlife to explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes, cave systems, and more – all while trying to survive in both hostile water zones and frozen terrain.
