A Guidebook of Babel release date set for August

Publisher Pixmain and developer StarryStarry today shared a release date for A Guidebook of Babel, an upcoming “plot adventure game”. It will be available worldwide on August 3, 2023.
A Guidebook of Babel was previously announced for Switch last May. The project was originally planned for last fall, but we’re hearing that the team spent about a year on polishing.
Here’s an overview of the game:
Players will embark on an extraordinary posthumous journey. The game’s premise involves a blowfish devouring the souls of the newly departed, which are then transported to the cruise ship “Babel” in another realm. Upon boarding, players are revived as humans and begin their afterlife adventure aboard the ship.
The game incorporates a unique feature that is rarely found in point-and-click games, which is the Butterfly Effect. Through time travel, players must solve puzzles and unravel the complex plot of the Babel. The story is told from various perspectives of the ship’s characters, whose lives and experiences are interconnected, leading to the revelation of the ultimate truth in the world of A Guidebook of Babel.
