Auto Chess: Heroes of Paragon releasing on Switch this week with new name MetaChampions
OctoBox Interactive originally hoped to release its strategy game Auto Chess: Heroes of Paragon last month. Following a delay, it’ll now launch this week – and with a new name to boot.
Due to legal reasons, the title is now being called MetaChampions. The free-to-play title is due out digitally on April 22.
Here’s some information about MetaChampions, along with a trailer:
MetaChampions is a turn-based strategy game. Experience classic auto battler gameplay on Nintendo Switch! It’s the best strategy battler! A strategy is key, but luck also plays a role!
Create your elite formation from a roster of 45+ heroes and be the best player in 8 player online matches.
[Fast Matches]
Matches that last 10-20 minutes are fully packed with multiple strategic decisions and tactical adaptations to the situation on the battlefield.
[No to Pay-to-Win]
Money CANNOT BUY victory. Only strategy matters. Enjoy the fun of the classic auto battler mode. Players can buy cosmetics through an in-game currency that they receive after every battle or buy them as DLC. But it is only visual personalization and it has no impact on pure skill-based PvP gameplay.
[Obliterate Your Enemies with Strategy]
With 45+ heroes and an 8 × 8 board, create your elite formation and deploy them wisely. Strengthen your team by combining 3 of the same heroes to level up, triggering Affinity Bonuses and equipping them with items.
