Best Served Cold, murder mystery game, heading to Switch
Rogueside is bringing Best Served Cold to Switch, the company has announced. No release window was provided.
Best Served Cold is a narrative-driven murder mystery game. The action takes place in the fictional Tzaran capital of Bukovie in which players take on the role of a bartender at a speakeasy where potential suspects and witnesses gather. The game is ultimately about solving a series of murders by gathering clues from the local patrons.

Meet a fascinating cast of intriguing characters seeking solace or stirring up trouble in ‘The Nightcap’, a bar renowned for attracting a varied clientele that spans the social strata. Lend an ear to your patrons and form a bond as you get to know their backstories – you’ll no doubt fall in love with the fascinating cast, but you’ll still have to coax out confessions and uncover clues in spite of the friendships you build. Remember, even the tightest of lips can be loosened with the right mix of charm, persuasion and alcohol.
At the end of each day, you will find yourself back at your apartment with an evidence board that displays the clues you’ve collected. Connect related clues to make new deductions that you can take back to the bar the next day to interrogate customers with, while you soothe their moods by serving the right drinks and lending a sympathetic ear. Build your case piece by piece, then present your findings to solve a series of thrilling murder mysteries.
In Best Served Cold, you will experience a richly crafted world inspired by the cultural and artistic revival of 1920’s Bucharest. The intriguing characters you meet in The Nightcap – an illegal bar in the basement of an upscale bookstore – serve as a lens through which you learn about a city where cultural, political and economic shifts are fragmenting the old order, creating new tensions in a changing world.
