BraveCart, a narrative turn-based puzzle adventure game, announced for Nintendo Switch
Today, Hojo Studio announced its upcoming game BraveCart for Nintendo Switch. Development is ongoing and a release window has yet to be determined.
BraveCart is a narrative turn-based puzzle adventure title. The story revolves around an abandoned shopping cart who defies two empires and sparks a revolution.
Further details can be found in the following overview:
In a world dominated by Alphabarn and Omegamart, the twin supermarket overlords of Duopolis, a shopping cart awakens to find themselves abandoned, like so many others – destined to be destroyed and replaced. Teaming up with scrappy, an abandoned receipt, they begin their quest to free all cartkind from the devious plans of the evil duopoly and forge their own path to freedom.
Key Features
- 60 levels of cozy, turn-based puzzle gameplay: Spanning 5 different regions of Duopolis – each with their own quirks, characters and challenges. From the forest to the carpark, the supermarket to the sewers and beyond.
- Smash the duopoly in a cinematic satirical adventure: Follow our two heroes’ journey in a heartfelt, funny, satirical story about consumerism, duopoly and waste.
- Full featured level editor: Finished the story? Make your own! Create an infinite number of levels and challenge your friends with fiendish shopping cart puzzles of your own design.
- Gaming for change: BraveCart isn’t just a game. We want it to make a real impact for a sustainable future. To address this, we will be donating 10% of every sale to Clean Up Australia or an equivalent charity for international players. The game also features a “Trolley Tracker”, enabling players to report abandoned trolleys in real life whenever they find them, so they can be retrieved and reused.
