Bubble Ghost Remake release date set for March, new trailer

Publisher SelectaPlay and developer Nakama Game Studio just passed along the final release date for Bubble Ghost Remake. The title arrives for Nintendo Switch on March 27, 2025.

Bubble Ghost Remake, a new version of the 1990 platformer, was unveiled in late 2023. There’s been no word on launch timing until now.

After returning from war to the northern England castle he once called home, master inventor and tinkerer Heinrich Von Schinker finds everything has changed. Now a ghost, he must face his once-loyal creations, now turned rogue, as well as the wild animals he left behind before departing. As he searches for answers—and for the love of his life, Sofia—he relies on a mysterious bubble, guiding it to freedom in the hope of securing his own.

Featuring fully revamped graphics and sounds that bring this Game Boy classic to life, 40 challenging levels filled with clever puzzles and platforms to traverse in the Story mode, hidden game modes, and more, Bubble Ghost Remake is sure to bring new players to the franchise and remind fans of why the original game was so captivating all those years ago. Plus, Nakama Game Studio has included in-game achievements, collectibles, a global leaderboard, new Challenge and Speedrun modes, and a Hall of Fame where only the best players around the world will find their names inscribed.

All of this can be experienced on the go, thanks to the Switch, giving modern players the chance to experience Bubble Ghost in a way similar to those back in the day did on Game Boy.
