Wombat Brawler is bringing Cast n Chill to both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch in just a few days, the studio has announced. The game launches on December 19, 2025.

Cast n Chill is a laid-back fishing game. On Nintendo Switch 2, it features 120 FPS at 1080p resolution in handheld and TV modes plus enhanced visual effects.

A bunch of information about the game can be found in the following overview:

Cast n Chill’s a laid-back fishin’ game for folks who’d rather wet a line than break a sweat. Whether yer driftin’ on a lazy lake, pokin’ ’round a winding river, or droppin’ lines in salty blue water, this here’s a game where you set the pace.

Key Features

  • Upgrade Yer Gear. Start with the basics, catch whatever bites, sell your haul, and put those coins toward better rods, reels, and upgrades. Before ya know it, you’ll be wranglin’ rare species that’d make any angler green with envy.
  • Explore New Waters. Find yer favourite fishin’ hole or keep wanderin’. There’s 16 peaceful spots to discover, each with its own critters swimmin’ ’round, just waitin’ to bite.
  • Pick Your Pace. In Active Mode, you’re in the thick of it – castin’, reelin’, and keepin’ busy like a loon at nesting time. Switch to Passive Mode if you’d rather let the game do the work while you’re off choppin’ wood.
  • Collect ‘Em All. There’s 50 fish to discover – some you’ll recognize, some you’ll squint at and go “what in the heck is that?” From scrappy little sunfish to big ol’ deepwater beasts, they’re all in the logbook waitin’ for your name.
  • Legendary Catches: There’s 16 fish out there that still get folks jabberin’ at ol’ Rusty’s bait shop like they saw Bigfoot ride a moose. Land one, and you’ll be part o’ the legend.
  • Boat Buddies: Grab your rod and call a buddy, Cast ‘n Chill now has co-op! Whether you’re lookin’ to kick back and fish side-by-side or stir up a bit of friendly competition, it’s all better with company.
  • Trusty Companion: Nothin’ beats a day on the lake with a four-legged friend. They might not know a spinnerbait from a spoon, but they’ll help you spot a fish – if only ’cause they’re hopin’ for a bite themselves.
