Cat Quest 3 “Tavern Tales” update out now, patch notes

A brand new “Tavern Tales” update has just arrived in Cat Quest 3.

The update lets players to choose various tales from the in-game tavern, which are remixed boss battles with new modifiers that increase the difficulty. For instance, the Boar King battle now has meteorites rain down from the sky, and Captain Meowtallika’s concert now has various electrical pulses filling the screen. After completing each challenge, you’ll get a new companion, such as Beakon the fearless parrot who swoops down on enemies, dealing damage to all in its path. There’s also a secret encounter for those who finish everything.

• Added the new Tavern Tales mode! Fight remixed versions of the Pirate Lords and win the loyalty of new crew mates!
• Added a ‘Fast Furwards’ toggle in the Options. (Only unlocked after completing ‘Fast Furwards’ in Mew Game)
• Added ‘Large Text’ mode in the Options.
• Added a new Trinket; Mama Milka’s Special!
• Added new Wanted Posters to claim rewards from!
• Tweaked the Defense stat to be more balanced at high and low levels.
• Tweaked the Equipment scaling to be higher in New Game + and beyond.
• New Game+ now raises the enemy level by 100 instead of 80.
• Minor Balance tweaks to certain bosses.
• Minor adjustment to sound effects for certain weapons.
• Fixed minor localization errors.
• Created a fallback for an error that occurs when the user’s files are not readable due to a lack of permissions.
