D-Day is coming to Nintendo Switch as the latest Arcade Archives game, it’s been announced. A worldwide release is planned for tomorrow, August 7.

Jaleco was behind the original version of D-Day. The game, which first appeared in 1984, is a shoot ’em up title.

D-Day  is a shooter released by Jaleco in 1984. Your mission is to pilot your battleship, fending off enemy battleships and bombers, and destroy the enemy fortress. Today is the day the operation is to take place. The longest day begins…

The Arcade Archives series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time.
