Deathless: The Hero Quest gets Nintendo Switch release date, new trailer

Developed by 1C Game Studios and published by Fulqrum, Deathless: The Hero Quest has just been given a release date for Nintendo Switch. The game is set to arrive on the console on October 16.

This title offers a fantastical reinterpretation of Slavic folklore. Players will choose from one of four heroes and venture through deadly fairy tales that will challenge their wits, and likely cost them their lives more than once.

Developed by 1C Game Studios and published by Fulqrum, this highly fantastical reinterpretation of Slavic folklore, lets players choose from four characters as they explore deadly fairy tales that may (probably) cost them their lives more than once. Players will collect cards, battle the mythical beasts of Belosvet (the world inspired by Slavic folklore) and restore harmony in the land once again.

They’ll be up against bogatyrs, wizards, sorcerers, humourous little spirits known as nechistiks, and a host of other creatures ready to take even the hardiest of heroes. Adapting to their foes is key, and they’ll need to use every card in their deck if they are going to survive long enough to take down Koschey the Deathless and see how deathless he really is.

With over 4 million battles fought and 281,282 journeys undertaken on PC, it’s time for console players to pick up the torch and defend the people of Slavia. But beware, these fairytales might not always have a happily ever after.

Fearsome Fairytale Foes: Clash with revenants and khuds, fight a yaga, chat with a vodyanoy, and even befriend rusalkas… or maybe not — those sneaky water nymphs are deadly foes.
Choose Your Own Adventure: Combine, customize, and collect all manner of cards to diversify decks and save the realm.
Deal or No Deal: Unlock new cards and battle modifiers by the end of each playthrough to make future runs even more exciting, but beware – foes of all sizes can still be a threat even to the most experienced.
A Tale of Four Heroes: Watch as the each heroes’ tales intertwines, complete quest, meet allies and defeat the most formidable foes imaginable.
