Donkey Kong Bananza music disc farming guide

For those playing through Donkey Kong Bananza, we have a new guide ready to go dedicated to disc farming.

Banandium Gems and fossils aren’t the only collectibles in the game – there are also 110 different music discs to collect, and you can listen to them all at the Getaways you can create throughout the Underground World. In summary, you can get these discs by defeating enemies, but the chance that they drop isn’t very good under normal circumstances. Thankfully, there’s an excellent method to getting a whole bunch of these fast, and we actually discovered it by accident. Please note that you’ll need to clear the main story to access this farming method, so keep that in mind before you continue. Light spoilers ahead!

How to farm music discs

First up, you’ll need Pauline’s Diva Dress outfit. You can get this anytime from the Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo. If you don’t want to pay $30 for the figure, that’s understandable – in that case, the only way to get the Diva Dress is by clearing all five Elder Rehearsals, which you’ll unlock after clearing the main story. This outfit doubles the chance that enemies drop music discs, which is the first step of our farming guide. The second step for farming discs in Donkey Kong Bananza is at Ingot Isle, and you’ll need to pay Grumpy Kong to create the Bunch of Battles challenge. Within this challenge is a level where you have to defeat tons of tiny enemies fast. Simply play this level over and over again with the Diva Dress equipped and you’ll be swimming in music discs before you know it! As a helpful tip, you don’t have to manually collect the discs. When you clear the round, all of the money and discs on the ground are automatically added to your inventory. There are 110 music discs, as we mentioned before, so this might take a little while. You can also trade Banandium Chips for discs at shops after clearing the main story, but it does get expensive.

How many collectibles have you earned in Donkey Kong Bananza so far? Are you going for 100% completion, or just playing through casually? Let us know in the comments down below.
