Earnest Evans Collection coming to Nintendo Switch

Posted on September 17, 2025 by in News, Switch

Edia has announced that they’ll be bringing the Earnest Evans collection to Nintendo Switch on December 25, 2025 in Japan. A digital English release for the title is also planned for a later date.

The Earnest Evans Collection will bring three Wolf Team titles to modern platforms. These side scrollers were previously exclusive to the Sega Genesis, and it’s CD drive accessory the SEGA CD.

Here’s a list of games included in this collection:

  • El Viento
    • It is the year 1928 when the cult of Hastur, an evil god of the winds, seeks to resurrect their master. To do this, a massive ceremony must be performed atop a large structure in New York City – the future Empire State Building! The cult’s leader Restiana has brought even mob boss Vincent DeMarco to provide additional muscle to their dark plans. All seems lost until a sorceress from Peru arrives to put an end to their plot. Annet has harnessed a portion of Hastur’s magic and can control various elements such as the magic of the Wind – el Viento! Guide Annet through speakeasies, factories, alleyways, and more throughout the city and put an end to the ritual!
  • Earnest Evans
    • As young Earnest Evans you will travel to the furthest reaches of the planet in search of clues to contain the power of Mavur, which, if summoned, can wipe life clean off the surface and use Earth as a taxi to roam the universe forever.
  • Anett Futatabi – The sequel to the action/platformer Earnest Evans, Anett Futatabi puts you back in the shoes of Anett from El Viento as she joins forces with Earnest to unravel a plot to take over the world with genetically engineered monsters by an ancient sect.

Japan will also be receiving a limited edition version of the game. This edition will include a physical copy of the game, a soundtrack CD, a pin badge, and an acrylic block featuring a new illustration. There is still no word when the English digital version will be making its way to the eShop, but we’ll be sure to report on it when it’s officially confirmed.
