First images released for Switch 2’s Nintendo Switch Online app
Thanks to the official Japanese website, first images for the Nintendo Switch Online app for Switch 2 are now available. This can be accessed directly on the home menu.
If you’ve booted up the app at all on the Big N’s current console, the overall design should look pretty familiar. The initial screen has different banners highlighting ongoing activities, promotions, and more. There also sections for things like Nintendo Classics and cloud saves.

Nintendo is looking to make a big push for Switch Online with its new console. For one thing, GameCube classics will be made available on the service for the first time via the Expansion Pack tier. GameChat, which lets players communicate and share their screen with others, is another brand new service (though it will be free through March 2026). Also, if you’re on the Expansion Pack tier, the upgrade packs for Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will not cost you anything extra.
Nintendo Switch 2 will be available everywhere on June 5, 2025. All notable coverage of the system can be found here. Let us know what you think of the Switch Online app’s new design in the comments.
