Gamescom Awards 2021 nominees announced

Organizers behind this year’s Gamescom today announced the lineup of nominees for this year’s Gamescom Awards.
With this year’s event being entirely digital, it seems that the amount of eligible titles is limited. However, we do see a few Switch games here, including Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – which has earned a few different nominations.
Here’s the full lineup of nominees:

– All category winners of the category groups Genre and Platform are eligible for the main award Best of Gamescom
Best Trailer
– All trailers of Gamescom’s partners shown at Gamescom: Opening Night Live are eligible
Best Streamer
– Select partner streamers and content creators are eligible in the online voting
Gamescom “Most Wanted” Consumer Award
– Nominees in all Genre and Platform categories are eligible in the online voting.
Heart of Gaming Award
– Each and every Gamescom highlight is eligible for this award: games, add-ons, technologies, people, institutions, companies, concepts, and terms
Note that winners in the platform categories at the start of the list will be announced during Gamescom: Opening Night Live on August 25. Everything for the genre categories will be honored in the Gamescom studio on August 26 and August 27. Finally, the last three categories will be announced during the show “Spielesause” on August 29.
