Haunted Halloween ’87 coming to Switch and NES
Retrotainment has confirmed that it will release Haunted Halloween ’87 on Switch and NES. Just recently, the project was funded on Kickstarter.
Haunted Halloween ’87 follows two other games – including one that’s already on Switch. Players can expect more 8-bit horror platforming.

If you’ve played either of the previous two games, you likely have a good idea what to expect in ‘87 – more of the same but turned up to 11! If you haven’t, well then it’s high time you got into some 8-Bit Halloween adventures.
Key Features
- Broomstick Rides: Find the witch’s hidden stashes of broomsticks and take them for a ride to collect extra goodies. Collect crabapples to throw at enemies while flying.
- Upgradable Power Moves: Collect Spell Books to make your power moves extra explosive.
- Upgrade Smashable Objects: Collect Potions to give AOE damage to throwable objects, allowing you to decimate multiple enemies at once.
- Wall Jump: Grab onto walls and use them to reach higher ground.
- Blocking: Time your blocks and then counter attack.
- Uppercuts, Flip Kicks, and Dash Attacks.
