Japanese developers and celebrities vote on top games of 2022
In its latest issue, Famitsu revealed the results of the top 20 games of 2022 as voted on by Japanese developers, celebrities, and more. This is a yearly tradition for the magazine.
A few Nintendo-published games made the list, including Splatoon 3 – which just missed the top spot. Pokemon held two spots with Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Scarlet / Violet.
The full list is as follows:
- Elden Ring
- Splatoon 3
- God of War Ragnarok
- Pokemon Scarlet / Violet
- Stray
- Cult of the Lamb
- Tactics Ogre: Reborn
- Vampire Survivors
- Pokemon Legends: Arceus
- Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
- Inscryption
- Gran Turismo 7
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Needy Streamer Overload
- Genshin Impact
- Dragon Quest X Offline
- Uma Musume Pretty Derby
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Apex Legends
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
Note that those who voted weren’t necessarily limited to what came out this year. Since they were asked to vote on trendy games and what they were personally into, that’s why something like Uma Musume Pretty Derby made the list.
