Jazz-fueled shooter Mouse: P.I. for Hire announced for Nintendo Switch 2, Switch [update: release date]
October 17: Publisher PlaySide and developer Fumi Games confirmed today that they’re working on Mouse: P.I. for Hire for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The game is set to debut in 2025.
Mouse: P.I. for Hire is a jazz-fueled first-person shooter. As showcased in the screenshot above, it features a visual style inspired by black and white, classic cartoons.

October 22: Fumi Games and Playside Studios have just announced that Mouse P.I. For Hire has been delayed to sometime in early 2026. You can read their full message below:
“We know that you are all excited for the release date announcement of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase this week on 23 October.
Ahead of the reveal, we wanted to let you know that we have made the decision to move the launch of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire from 2025 to early 2026.
The support you have shown over the years has meant the world to us. Our single highest priority is for the game to deliver you the best possible experience, and this will help ensure we can live up to that goal.
Thanks for everything and we will see you at Galaxies!”
Following the delay news, we have a release date. The game heads to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on March 19, 2026.
