Jumanji: The Curse Returns out on Switch next month, trailer
Jumanji: The Curse Returns finally has a release date on Switch. Nearly a year after it was announced, the game will be making its way to Nintendo’s platform on June 13, Marmalade Game Studio confirmed today.
Jumanji: The Curse Returns is based on the 1995 classic film. In it, players can see iconic locations as they roll the dice, read riddles, and face dangerous creatures and plants from the jungle. Different threats will appear, including giant mosquitos, raging stampedes, monsoons, and the hunter, Van Pelt. The end goal is for the team to work together under pressure to save the town.
Marmalade Game Studio says “the gameplay is simple to pick up, fast-paced and full of tactical and deck building features.” Cross-platform multiplayer is also supported, meaning Switch players can team up with those on iOS and Android. The game can be played with either four-player online co-op, two players locally, or in single-player with AI characters.
