Kristala, dark fantasy action RPG with cats, confirmed for Switch

To say that Kristala managed to find success on Kickstarter would be an understatement. Astral Clocktower Studios was only seeking $10,000, but raised around $90,000 in total. Additionally, a Switch stretch goal was reached during the campaign, so it’ll be on Nintendo’s console down the road.

Kristala is a dark fantasy action RPG with a focus on cats. You’ll play as a feline warrior who needs to master the six magic specialties of the sacred Kristals to join ranks with the famed Raksaka warriors while also uncovering the source of a terrible curse that has transformed planet Ailur’s creatures into mutated monsters.

Punishing & Satisfying Combat
In Kristala, you’ll be able to choose your own style of combat & customize your play style in various ways as you go. Three unique weapon sets will be available to offer a unique gameplay experience.

Use Acrobatics to Navigate the Environment
Feline traversal skills will allow you to explore the environment in multiple ways. Progress the storyline to unlock new skills, many of which open new pathways to traverse in previously explored areas.

Defeat obstacles with stealth & nimbleness
As a catlike creature, you’ll be able to unlock & execute unique catlike abilities that will allow you to enhance Kristala’s gameplay. New feline skills are unlocked & leveled via an innovative feline skill tree.
