Lootbound

ArtDock is planning Lootbound for Nintendo Switch, the studio has announced. The project should wrap up in 2026.

Lootbound, a tactical roguelike with turn-based combat, inventory management, and a bit of D&D style, takes place in a dark fantasy world. Players will lead a squad through winding dungeon corridors built by the Mysterious Master, filled with traps, riddles, and monsters.

Further details can be found in the following overview:

Welcome to the world of Lootbound, a turn based adventure about golems, ancient gods, chance, and survival deep underground.

You play as a group of abandoned golems, cast into the darkness with only scraps of memory and a stubborn instinct to move forward. Your goal is to find your creators, escape the depths, and reach the surface.

Assemble a squad of four distinct heroes. Each has their own backstory, personality, class, and skill tree. Bard, warrior, healer, mage — your choices shape your tactics, and progression opens up new abilities and playstyles.

Before each run, fate throws the dice. Roll for blessings or curses that will shape your entire expedition. Lootbound is about risk and randomness, about adapting to what the world throws at you and making it work.
Explore dungeons shrouded in the fog of war. Discover and activate obelisks — self contained challenges with battles, loot, and tough choices.

Every encounter is a tactical puzzle. Abilities cost action points, and every decision matters. Victory earns you equipment, but your inventory is limited, so you’ll need to prioritize.

What sets it apart:

  • Procedurally generated dungeons with fog of war
  • Rich RPG systems with classes, skills, upgrades, and dice rolls
  • Turn based tactical combat that rewards thoughtful planning
  • You decide what the final boss becomes
  • Nonlinear storylines, dynamic events, and party conversations
  • Rare gear, strange effects, and deadly traps
  • Divine aid and unique powers tied to each character
