Macross: Shooting Insight gets release date, physical versions in the west [update: delayed to February]
August 21: Red Art Games today not only provided a release date for Macross: Shooting Insight in the west, but also shared news about a physical release on Switch.
The game is now confirmed for December 6, 2024 in North America and Europe. Previously, it came to Japan in March.
Macross: Shooting Insight will receive both ESRB (US) and PEGI-rated (Europe) physical versions. Various retailers will be selling the standard edition. There’ll also be two special editions – ESRB-rated versions from VGP and PEGI-rated versions from the Red Art Games online store.
The Macross: Shooting Insight Deluxe Edition, limited to 500 PEGI copies on RedArtGames.com, includes a copy of the game, an exclusive sleeve, an art book, and an acrylic stand. VGP will be selling 500 ESRB-rated Special Editions featuring a copy of the game, art book, and acrylic stand (no sleeve). VGP and Red Art Games will both sell a collector’s edition (1,000 copies each) containing a copy of the game, steelcase, original soundtrack CD, double-sided poster five exclusive collector medals, and an exclusive box.

January 31: Macross: Shooting Insight is another game that was quietly delayed, and it did not meet its original December launch. However, Red Art Games now says it’s on track for February 7, 2025.
