A new Pokemon game has been announced today, most likely through Dengeki Nintendo. The magazine did promise a reveal for their latest issue, which is why it makes sense that they’d have the scoop. The strange thing though is that some outlets are reporting that Dengeki Nintendo actually didn’t reveal anything at all… making things quite confusing.
In any case, the mysterious project is titled “Pokemon Battrio V”. The game involves collecting real life circular Pokemon chips that can be used in battle. New battle chips will be available featuring the Pokemon from Black/White, including Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott. Pokemon Battrio V will be released for arcades only in Japan.
This news will most likely disappoint Wii/3DS owners, though keep in mind that CoroCoro will also be announcing a new Pokemon project next month. Seeing as how that magazine reveals things first, there’s a strong chance that it won’t be related to Pokemon Battrio V. There could also be news in next month’s Dengeki Nintendo if reports claiming that the magazine did not reveal Battrio V are true.
