Nintendo Switch repair price increase

In Japan, Nintendo just announced its increasing the costs for Switch repairs. The company cited the “rising prices of repair parts” for the move.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model, standard Switch, and Switch Lite are all impacted. The price depends on the type of repair that’s required. As one example, for the Nintendo Switch OLED display, there’s a price increase happening from 11,000 yen to 12,100 yen. We also see that repairs relating to the Joy-Con are going up from 2,200 yen to 2,860 yen.

A couple of repair prices will not be affected. The dock and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller appear to be staying the same.

Nintendo says that the price adjustments will be going into effect for parts arriving in its warehouses on March 26, 2025. Currently there isn’t any news about other regions, so at least for now, only Japan will be seeing a change here. We’ll let you know if there are any additional updates.

Thanks to Nintendo for the news above. Those looking for additional Nintendo Switch news will want to keep an eye on this page.
