While many are thinking about what’s coming next from Nintendo, president Shuntaro Furukawa has again promised that the company will be supporting Switch with new games through the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. This comes as part of an interview with Nikkei.

The latest Nintendo Direct showed that the company still has games launching for the system throughout 2024. Another Code: Recollection, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Princess Peach: Showtime, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door are all coming next year. The latter two titles will also fall into the next fiscal year.

Nintendo’s current fiscal year will end on March 31, 2024. For the holiday season, Furukawa said the company is focusing on maintaining momentum for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Nintendo is also looking at maximizing demand for new Switch purchases as well as those looking to pick up another system/replacement.

Rumors about a Switch successor should only continue over the next few months with a new console thought to be launching in 2024. The latest report can be read here.
