Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con feature quieter HD Rumble
One of the more overlooked pieces of information we’ve received about Nintendo Switch 2 relates to the HD Rumble functionality on the new Joy-Con 2, which will be quieter compared to the previous version controllers.
Information about this was quietly included on the official website since the system’s reveal earlier in the month. It’s actually tucked away in a note about Everybody 1-2 Switch. It turns out that there’ll be a slight compatibility issue with that title due to the quieter HD Rumble on the new Joy-Con with a specific mini-game.
A note on the page states:
The volume of the Joy-Con 2 controllers’ force feedback vibrations has been reduced compared to the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers, so it may be more difficult to find hidden Joy-Con 2 in the minigame Joy-Con Hide & Seek.
We previously heard from the company that the new Joy-Con rumble, with HD Rumble 2, will “allow for a wider variety of vibrations” as well as “more realistic and has quicker response times.” You can read all about that here.
Thanks to Nintendo’s website for the news.
