Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle production has ended

Nintendo is officially ending production of the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle – at least in the United States.

That news comes from an internal GameStop memo. In it, the retailer states: “This bundle SKU has now reached end of lifecycle, and additional units will no longer be produced. Future replenishment of Nintendo Switch 2 will be the base console.”

Nintendo previously cautioned that the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle would be a limited time offer. However, it wasn’t clear when exactly the promotion would come to an end. Now it looks like we have our answer. Retailers will still sell any stock they have left, but once they move those units, that’ll be it.

Picking up the bundle has been a no-brainer for most consumers. On its own, Mario Kart World costs $80. Buying the bundle at $500 meant saving $30.

There’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing additional Nintendo Switch 2 bundles in the future. Even in October, we just saw another one that featured Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
