Opus: Prism Peak receiving Nintendo Switch 2, Switch versions [update: delayed]

OPUS: Prism Peak provided an update for Nintendo fans today, as versions for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch are happening. The title will be out this fall.

OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative-driven adventure game. Players will take on the role of a weary photographer who finds himself caught outside of reality, and will need to use an old camera to explore an ethereal realm as they attempt to head back home.

You are a weary, middle-aged photographer, retreating from a life of disappointment in the city to seek solace in your hometown. However, an unexpected turn of events leaves you stranded in an ethereal mountain realm, where you encounter a mysterious girl. To uncover the secrets of this mystical world and find your way back home, you must gather clues and unravel its secrets—with nothing but an old camera in hand.

• Photography: Photography in OPUS: Prism Peak reflects how closely the protagonist looks at the world. Players must take in their surroundings, understand what each spirit desires, and capture the realm’s secrets through their lens.
• Companionship: Among the spirits is a girl with no memory of who she is, only a faint sense that she needed to help a grownup through his struggles. As their journey unfolds, her presence offers a different angle that helps him see the world more clearly.

November 19: The game has been delayed, and will now be releasing in March. Below is the official statement:

As we move into the final stages of development, we’ve taken a careful look at our schedule and decided to adjust the original release window to make sure the game reaches the level of quality we’re aiming for.

After revisiting our timeline, we can now confirm that OPUS: Prism Peak is planned for release in March 2026. Thank you so much for your continued support.
