Please, Watch the Artwork announced for Nintendo Switch
Studio Waterzooi today unveiled its latest project, which is Please, Watch the Artwork. The game is in development for Nintendo Switch but there’s no word on launch timing.
Please, Watch the Artwork follows the previously-released Please, Touch the Artwork 1 and 2. Players will be tasked with finding the differences in paintings during their night shift at a museum.
A bunch of additional information can be found in the following overview:
Please, Watch The Artwork is a casual yet eerie liminal experience where you spot the differences in paintings during your night shift at the MaMA, the Museum of Animated Modern Art.
Your job is simple: watch the paintings and report any anomalies. However, these are not your everyday artworks. They are alive (tableaux vivants) and there is a mysterious sad clown, whose sorrow quietly spreads to the other paintings. You’re gonna need focus, a good memory and lots of coffee to prevent this from happening. Shift ends at 6AM. Good luck!
In this game, there are no jumpscares, and no monsters chasing you. However, the game can make you start doubting yourself, feel paranoid, melancholic, isolated and nostalgic. The game depicts the works of American realism painter Edward Hopper, who is known for his themes of loneliness and urban isolation.
There is no music, only the ambient sounds of the scenes depicted in the artworks. It’s just you, the night…and the paintings.
