Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress

Kindermann Corp. is developing Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress, and it has been confirmed that the game will be seeing a release on Switch.

In the point-and-click adventure game, You’ll be playing as Major Daaia, the best pilot in the Federation. While on her first combat mission, she receives a mysterious message from humanity’s mortal enemy, the Rolars. This leads to Daaia going on an intergalactic adventure as she visits alien planets, meets all kinds of characters, and discovering the truth about the war and why she’s been chosen to uncover it all.

Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress looks to keep things simple. Players actually have just one inventory and one interaction button. The game is about interacting with the environment and characters, though arcade-style mini-games will mix things up. Kindermann Corp. says it “trimmed down all the fat” from traditional point-and-click titles, meaning there’s “no mouse, no verbs, no weird wheels of actions – you just interact with something, and things happen.”

As far as the mini-games go, the story kicks off with an initial combat mission that’s actually a little experience. Other mini-games such as a fully-featured pinball table “serve a purpose, and even some story beats will develop during these scenes.”

We’ve included a trailer for the game below.

Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress doesn’t have a release date just yet, but we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
