It has been revealed that Square Enix has merged with Tokyo RPG Factory, dissolving the company in the process.
Established in 2014 as a subsidiary of Square Enix, Tokyo RPG Factory developed three games during their existence, all of which came to the Switch: I Am Setsuna was released in 2016, Lost Sphear in 2017, and finally Oninaki in 2019. With this merger Square Enix will gain the company’s assets and liabilities, as well as the rights to their games.
