Super Comboman dev “extremely interested” in Wii U version
This is a situation that Nintendo fans should be accustomed to by now. A small developer is making a game, and has strong interest in bringing it to the Wii U eShop.
The title in question this time around is “Super Comboman”, a project that was already fully-funded on Kickstarter late last year.
Interabang Entertainment’s Justin Woodward describes Super Comboman as a “2D physics based action brawler that is a mix between Final Fight, Smash Bros. and Marvel Vs Capcom”. Players use “combo momentum” in various ways, including puzzle solving, environment destruction, and enemy takedowns.
When we last heard about the game, Interabang and Nintendo had been… talking. Now a Wii U eShop release sounds much more likely, though nothing is set in stone.
Woodward said that the team is “extremely interested” when it comes to bringing Super Comboman to Nintendo’s console:
We are extremely interested in porting Super Comboman to Wii U but we would need more interest to do another crowd-funding campaign.
Right now, we are interested in getting the Nintendo audience involved with our development and to see what we need to do in order to either launch a Nintendo-focused crowd-funding campaign or just figure out how to fund the port ourselves after the game is completed.
