Tactical RPG Prelude Dark Pain slated for Nintendo Switch
Quickfire Games’ upcoming project Prelude Dark Pain is in the works for Nintendo Switch, it’s been announced. The game launches later in 2025.
Prelude Dark Pain is a tactical RPG. The game, which takes place in the war-torn world of Statera, has players taking on the role of Soren, a former blacksmith thrust into revolution against the tyrannical Order of the Ashen Crusade.

The land of Statera bleeds under the shadow of the Dark Pain. Enslaved by the fanatical Ashen Crusade, all hope lies in scattered flames. Assume the role of Soren, an ancient warrior, now blacksmith, turned reluctant hero, as he rallies allies like Tizon, Tammais, and Maya to confront the ancient evil that festers beyond the veil.

Prelude Dark Pain is currently on Kickstarter here – and it’s well on its way to full funding. As part of the campaign, fans can get their hands on an exclusive collector’s edition. Copies include the game, original soundtrack, postcards featuring original concept art, art book chronicling the game’s development and design, a steelbook case with exclusive artwork, and a special box.
