3. Super Mario Galaxy

Well, we had to hit it eventually, right? When Super Mario Galaxy first came out, I was actually somewhat stunned that the clarity of the visuals was coming out of the Wii. I’m not sure if anyone would agree with me, but if you’ve ever seen 1080p videos of the game played through a Dolphin emulator, you may have a hard time believing that it’s not a PS3 or 360 game. At least, to a certain extent. Yes, the game certainly deserves a spot on the list, but not just for technical prowess– it actually has some wondrous views looking out into space, across huge courses, or even at the eerie Hell Valley tree people.
