Tonight is your last chance to enter the contest! Make sure you post a comment or send a feature our way!

BLAM. Get shot.

I think I’d be hard pressed to find someone on this site who didn’t have at least a passing interest in the upcoming Wii-exclusive game GoldenEye 007, which is why I’m so very pleased to announce that we have an extraordinary opportunity in our hands right now. Activision (the game’s publisher) was nice enough to send us guys at NE three copies of the upcoming first person shooter, but instead of keeping them for ourselves (like we’d do if we were smart >:D), we’re giving away all three copies to three lucky winners here on the site!

Hit up the break for the nitty-gritty details on what you can do to snag yourself a free copy (shipping and handling fully paid!) of this massive re-make!

There will be three separate events, each one giving you a separate chance to get a copy:

#1: Game Night

In the every-continuing weekly tradition of Game Night, we’ll be hosting this week’s evening of fun and terror (terror not guaranteed) on Friday, October 29th beginning at 6PM Central Standard Time (7 PM EDT). If you have specific questions about what time that will be for you, feel free to leave a comment on this post and I’ll answer it swiftly! Now, the big question is what game we’ll be playing, and the answer is The Conduit. The way I figure, you should have to play a shooter to win a shooter! So here’s how this is all going to work:

We do have a limited number of spots, and so it’s very important that you show up early and stay showed up! If you want to ensure that you’ll have a spot, e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know your name so I can mark you down! If there’s a huge demand for some weird reason, we may do to rounds of games in order to decide a winner, but I’m making that part up as I go.

All it’s going to come down to is the number of points you have at the end of all the matches (we’ll just do standard deathmatch), so get practicing! Whoever has the most points wins!

#2: Write us a feature!

We’re looking to all you writers out there who are constantly posting their thoughts on gaming to forums as a way of getting your thoughts out there because this next part of the contest if for you: We want you to write up a feature about anything relating to GoldenEye – original or this new one – and if it’s really awesome, not only do you win a copy of the game, but you also get your writing published onto the site for everyone to read!

Now, don’t feel restricted to writing something like a preview or a review of the first game. While those are fine, we encourage you to get really creative: Maybe you want to write a joke feature about how the Wii’s graphics won’t live up to the first game, or perhaps something comparing the movie to the games; don’t feel restricted in any way! The more creative, the better!

The articles will all be read and judged by myself and Valay (let the brown nosing commence), so do your best and send submissions also to [email protected]. Submissions are due by the game’s release date on November 2nd, so get writing!

#3: The one you can win RIGHT NOW.

Unable to wait for your chance to win the game? Well, hop into the comments and post something that you either loved/hated about the first game, or about something you’re looking forward to with the new game; it’s that easy! Of everyone who submits something in that category, the winner will be selected randomly from a hat or something. Maybe we’ll throw a dart at the computer screen, I dunno. Point is, it’ll be random! Like the previous option, you have until November 2nd to comment!

Post away!

Rules:

1. You cannot win more than one copy of the game, no matter how “mad” your Conduit skills are.
2. You must live in the United States/Canada in order to be eligible for a game. We’re still really sorry about this, and we’re working on ways to get around it, but unfortunately for now we’re stuck within the confines of this area!
3. Don’t be dumb and send multiple submissions under different names. There’s no real way for us to track you, but it’s a real jerk thing to do, and we want to make this as fair as possible. It’s for your own good, we promise.

Don’t cheat. Trust us, it’s for your own good.

Good luck to all participants!
